About
Eva Viana (Bilbao, 1984)
After twenty years dedicated to the textile craft as a designer, Tsenoh! emerged in 2020 as a much-needed personal space for independent research, creative expression and the development of my own singular vision of textiles, sustainability and material culture.
Here I explore how materials, ancestral crafts, nature and my own creative force relate to one another, giving shape to a luminous, optimistic, natural and wild universe through textiles and clothing.
Tsenoh! is a textile project rooted in natural fibres such as linen, wool and cotton; in local production; and in a deep respect and fascination for materials, wildlife and textile heritage. This way of looking at the world gives rise to small collections, one-of-a-kind pieces and garments made from antique textiles that I have recovered or carefully preserved with great affection over many years.
Materials, textures, volumes, colours... have a profound impact on our physical and psychological wellbeing, often at a very primal level, and shape the way we experience and inhabit the world.
For this reason, garments are understood here as objects of value that accompany us, serve us in everyday life, make us feel good and help us maintain a more conscious relationship with natural rhythms.
Today, Tsenoh! is developed from a new studio and shop in the rural surroundings of Cruïlles (Baix Empordà), where craft, contemplation, artistic exploration and the surrounding landscape are the forces that give life to this project.
