Vintage Cotton/Silk Tailoring Fabrics

Handmade in Spain

This shirt is crafted from recovered tailoring fabrics originally woven for classic English shirtmaking and sourced from the historic Bilbao tailor Derby Gardeazabal, which closed its doors in 2022 after more than 70 years dedicated to traditional tailoring.

Originally woven between the 1980s and 1990s, many of these fabrics combine fine fibers as cotton & silk with a small percentage of polyester, a common practice at the time that improved stability, reduced creasing, and enhanced the longevity of the fabric.

Each shirt is individually cut and handcrafted in our studio in Spain, based on our own interpretation of the classic men's shirtmaking pattern, with balanced proportions, a relaxed fit, and enduring versatility.

All wear, mending, and idiosyncrasies are unique to the original textile.
